After the rousing success of our first bookclub, the November Bookclub has been scheduled for Thursday, November 13th! It will be a doubleheader of activity. We will be meeting at 6:30 at Mandango's for Thursday night football, dinner and a discussion of Bill's Photobook from the Night at the Races. Then we will move over to Country Club Lanes at 8:30 for the Big Lebowski Bowl Off. The Gnu Abides! Join the party for one or both.
The last meeting was a great time! Moebs was the big winner. I don't know if he actually came out ahead but I have a picture of him cashing a ticket. From cashing tickets, watching the ponies, riding in the pace car and even running into an old friend I had a blast at the races! The afterparty took place at the Luna Lounge where we had another Gnus Brush with D-List Celebrity. This time is was Barbi Benton! Shown here with Stuart and Bill. (From the look on Stuart's face, any guesses where Bill's hand is?) She was very nice and more than gracious posing for pictures with everyone at the lounge. 
Who knows what D-Lister will be cool enough to hang with the Gnus this time? Will Creighton Sanders be sucking down gin & tonics at Mandango's? Will it be the lead singer of Tesla be whipping a rose-incased, clear bowling ball down the Country Club Lanes? Will Molly Ringwald be singing Karaoke at the Candlerock Lounge? Show up to find out!
